Water treatment with activated carbon how often to change?

In theory, activated carbon in water treatment can be used repeatedly. However, the effectiveness and time of repeated use is greatly reduced. Because the activated carbon adsorbed other substances, it is difficult to remove with ordinary methods, especially for water treatment filtration, so when the activated carbon loses adsorption saturation, we mostly use the method of replacing the new activated carbon.

How often should you replace the activated carbon?

This should be judged according to the quality of the activated carbon you use and the water quality indicators, and the normal water treatment with activated carbon is replaced once a year. In fact, the specific replacement time of activated carbon is not specified, and the general activated carbon can be discarded after losing adsorption and saturation and replaced with a new one.

How to determine the activated carbon needs to be replaced?

We can do a simple saturation test: put activated carbon into the water to see if there are a lot of small bubbles in the water, if the number of bubbles is small (compared to new activated carbon), indicating that the saturation is full and needs to be replaced or regenerated.
