Ionized Water

Deionized water refers to pure water that has been removed from impurities in the form of ions. The definition of "deionization" according to ISO/TC 147 of the International Organization for Standardization is: "The complete or incomplete removal of ionic substances by deionized water mainly refers to the use of ion exchange resin treatment methods." The current process mainly uses RO reverse osmosis to produce. The application of ion exchange resin to remove anions and cations from water, but soluble organic matter still exists in the water, which can contaminate the ion exchange column and reduce its efficiency. Storage of deionized water can also easily cause bacterial proliferation.

Deionized water production process and its characteristics
1. The traditional water treatment method for producing deionized water using ion exchange resin has the following basic process flow:
Raw water → Multi medium filter → Activated carbon filter → Precision filter → Positive bed → Negative bed → Mixed bed → Rear security filter → Water point.
(Features: High pollution, low degree of automation, and low initial investment)
2. The basic process flow of combining reverse osmosis water treatment equipment with ion exchange equipment to produce deionized water is as follows:
Raw water → Multi medium filter → Activated carbon filter → Precision filter → Reverse osmosis equipment → Mixed bed → Ultra pure water tank → Ultra pure water pump → Rear security filter → Water consumption point.
(Features: Low pollution, high degree of automation, moderate initial investment, and moderate price)
3. The combination of reverse osmosis equipment and electrodeionization (EDI) equipment to produce deionized water is the latest process for producing ultrapure water, and it is also an environmentally friendly, economical, and highly promising ultrapure water preparation process. The basic process flow is as follows:
Raw water → Multi medium filter → Activated carbon filter → Precision filter → Reverse osmosis equipment → Electrodeionization (EDI) → Ultra pure water tank → Ultra pure water pump → Rear security filter → Water consumption point.

Features: Environmental protection, high degree of automation, large initial investment, and relatively expensive prices.
