Lanlang® TA465D is an advanced macroporous anion exchange resin that is highly effective in removing nitrate from water. This resin is classified as type I and comprises a polystyrene matrix and a quaternary amine (triethylamine) functional group. The size distribution of this resin is Gaussian, which makes it highly efficient in capturing nitrate.
TA465D has a remarkable ability to selectively capture nitrate, while its selectivity for other anions such as sulfate, chloride, and bicarbonate is lower. This resin works by exchanging chloride ions in the water with nitrate ions in the resin, thereby reducing the nitrate concentration in water to less than the regulatory limit of 10 mg/L. The polystyrene matrix also provides superior chemical and physical stability, ensuring that the resin can continue to operate efficiently even in harsh environments.
