How to treat fluorinated wastewater

At present, the three processes that are used more frequently in the treatment of fluorine-containing wastewater are mainly flocculation precipitation, chemical precipitation and adsorption. According to the discharge standards of industrial and agricultural wastewater, the solubility of fluoride ion should be less than 10 mg/l, and for domestic water, the solubility of fluoride ion is required to be below 1 mg/l.

 

1. chemical precipitation method:

It is mainly the lime precipitation method, in which calcium salt and other chemicals are added to form fluoride precipitation or the precipitation formed by fluoride adsorption and co-precipitation, which is simple in operation, convenient in treatment and low in cost. However, CaF2 produced is wrapped on the surface of hydrated lime particles, making it unable to be fully used. The amount of drugs is large, and the fluoride ion concentration of effluent is generally about 15 mg/l, which is difficult to reach the standard. The sludge settlement is slow and the dehydration is difficult.

 

2. Coagulation method:

Metal ions contained in two types of coagulants, iron salt and aluminum salt, are used to form fine checks or flocs in water. These positively charged colloidal particles adsorb fluorine ions in water and make the colloidal particles coagulate with each other into larger flocculent precipitates to achieve the purpose of fluoride removal. The dosage of this Fangafai agent is small, the treatment capacity is large, and the discharge standard can be reached after one treatment, but the treatment cost is relatively large. The amount of sludge produced is large, the removal effect of fluoride ion zone is greatly affected by stirring conditions, settling time and anions such as SO42- in the water, and the effluent quality is not stable.

 

3. Adsorption method:
