Lanlang offers an extensive range of Strong Base Anion (SBA) ion exchange resins based on a polystyrenic or polyacrylic matrix with either gel and macroporous structures. These products include Type I and Type II, as well as mixed base and ion selective functionality. They are supplied in a wide range of grades and ionic forms to optimize performance.

 

The strong base anion exchange resin is an anion exchange resin with quaternary ammonium groups incorporated into the styrene frame. Two types with differing alkalinity strengths are: Type I with a trimethyl ammonium group, and Type II with a dimethylethanol ammonium group.

The strongly basic resin is used to produce high purity demineralized water, making use of the capability to strongly adsorb anions.

 

The weak base anion exchange resins use either a polystyrene or polyacrylic ester frame and a primary-ternary amino group as the functional group. Although the anion of a salt like NaCl or Na2SO4 cannot be exchanged, the exchange of an anion of a mineral acid such as HCl and H2SO4, or the salt of a weak base like NH44Cl can be carried out.

Q: How many times can we regenerate the resin?

A: For home water softener, the regeneration time is 500-1,000; For industrial use, it depends on different input water and working conditions. With your data details, our engineers will work out regeneration solution for you.

Q: What is life time for your ion exchange resin?

A: The concentration of chloride ion and iron ion in water will shorten the resin's life time. In general, for household water filter systems, the life time is 8-10 year.
